Win ugly

There's a saying in American Football: "It doesn't matter if you win ugly, as long as you win." Well Saturday's win was ugly, but yet another set of three points are in the bag.

And while we are winning, everyone is rabbitting on about Peter Hightower Crouch's lack of goals. More worrying to this humble scribe is the fact that Stevie G has been missing some sitters in recent weeks.

If we accept that Crouch is good at holding up the ball, laying off to others etc then one of those is Captain Fantastic. His form in front of goal isn't what it was at the start of the season. Here's hoping he doesn't suffer a Crouch!

Three wins in a row! Make a wish!

Well, strange but true but we have managed:
A win away from home;
A win after a week with a European fixture; and
Three consecutive victories.

Wow! Things are looking up!
Pity the match was so crap though. And truth be told, while Anderlecht offered no real opposition on Wednesday, Aston Villa offered less - just we made them look good! Too many players had off days; great strike from Xabi (but we'll keep discretely silent about the one's he skied into row z) but in all seriousness that was a very dubious penalty we were awarded, and how the hell did Hightower Crouch miss that header!

The official site's match report is at: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N150497051105-1443.htm and hold your breath now, but we're up to the heady heights of 12th in the table!

Oh dear! NOT

United lost to Lille. Keano is yapping (again!). Fergie is blaming the pitch/ref/climate change etc...

Oh dear, how sad, never mind!

Joy again!

After the recent trials and tribulations joy has been brought back to being a Liverpool fan!
First Saturday's win over West Ham, now the three goal trouncing of Anderlecht.
Great goals, but ultimately a comfortable win, marked by some flashes of good play, and also some laziness.

Now what we really need is some grit and determination on Saturday against Villa! Some chance!
