After the joy...

SUNDAY's result was a reality check. After being at Anfield for the Wigan draw I am now fairly cerrtain that the initial buzz of the new Dalgligh reign is now well past the Honeymoon period.

The Sparta games and the West Ham defeat show that Liverpool's squad is too threadbare and has too many gaps in quality midfield.

With Martin Kelly out for a wee while (TBC) and all awaiting Carroll's d├ębut we know we can raise our game against the scum, but will it be enuogh?

And even if we beat the scum, will the rest of the season fade out? Quite literally if we are to gain even a Europa League spot we must win ALL our remaining games.
